How to Prepare for Beginners

Stretch or loose clothing is typically best to practice yoga in, but we encourage you to wear anything you feel most comfortable in. At times, we do like to keep the studio windows closed during the practice to add a little extra heat. Dress accordingly, but know there is more than enough room to leave personal belongings in cubbies, on the top floor of the studio.

We have a changing space (as well as a toilet) available in our studio for your use as well - we understand many in our community come to practice straight from work or school.

Please bring your own mat, if possible. While we may have extras at the studio, we aim to be as sustainable as possible

Please let the teacher know of any illness, injury or concerns before class. Listen to your body. There will be always be some level of effort in a class, but there should never be pain. Remember to try to enjoy the sessions and be patient with yourself.

It can take a while to relax into this new way of moving and breathing, which is why we continue to offer a variety of classes throughout the week based on six core variables: Flexibility, Sweat, Strength, Meditative, Precision and Music. See how we ‘rate’ each of them here. With all this said, we welcome everyone to take the classes at their own pace as needed once in-studio. We are all here to have fun at the end [or start] of the day, while hopefully helping our bodies to feel a bit better in the process.

COVID-19 Guidelines

We continue to ventilate the studio between classes for all of our comfort and safety. Out of respect for our fellow yogis, please do not attend class if you are feeling under-the-weather or experiencing any potential COVID-19 symptoms. Please contact Paul too, if possible, so we don’t hold our practice for you: 087 770 4187.
