Cristina Galvin
Cristina teaches hatha yoga - both dynamic and relaxing forms - with particular emphasis on alignmentShe has completed trainings with senior Iyengar, Ashtanga and hatha yoga instructors in Colorado, California and Mysore, India.  Classes follow the principle that anyone who can breathe can do yoga and supportive assistance is given to students in approaching more challenging poses.  The upshot is a practice that’s vigorous and fun, meditative and uplifting.

Marion Fahy

A native of Galway, Marion has been practicing yoga for over 10 years. With experience in Iyengar, Ashtanga, Sivananda, Bikram and Hatha yoga she then discovered Kundalini Yoga. Loving its use of mantra and meditation she found it to be a truly transformational practice. She recently completed level 1 teacher training with iSKY (School of Kundalini Yoga, Ireland) and hopes to bring her love of yoga across in her classes.

Katrina Hardiman
Katrina is co-owner of An Seomra Yoga. A Galway native, Katrina initially began to practice Yoga after moving to Seattle, Washington in 1994 as therapy for back pain. Her love of yoga began in this very first Integral Yoga class.

Katrina expanded from her initial introduction to yoga after moving to Santa Monica, California where, over twelve years, she had the opportunity to practice and study Yin, Iyengar, Hatha, Vinyasa Flow, Kundalini, Ashtanga and Pre-natal Yoga throughout Los Angeles but mainly in Yoga Works, Santa Monica and Sacred Movement in Venice.

Her teaching style bares the imprint of this wide range of yoga studied over the years. Her classes have a strong emphasis on the breath and allowing the breath to guide the practice safely to a more supple and strong body and calm mind. Given the severe back pain and a diagnosis of ankylosing spondylitis in her early twenties Katrina has always approached yoga from a therapeutic standpoint.

Katrina, her husband Paul and two boys, moved back to Galway in 2008 and took over ownership of An Seomra Yoga in June 2009.

(Some of her teachers included Max Strom, Saul David Raye, Chris Stein, Annie Carpenter, Matthew Cohen, Vinnie Marino and Jamie Elmer.  she also practiced with Swami Vivekananda in Rishikesh).

Paul Hardiman

Paul, co-owner of An Seomra Yoga did his first yoga class in Seattle in 1994. He had previously studied and practiced martial arts and represented Ireland internationally in all style Karate but then shifted his focus to yoga after being introduced to it by Katrina. He continued his practice of yoga in Los Angeles in a variety of styles having fun with teachers Steve Ross and Kathryn Budig, eventually leading to his teacher training with Yogaworks in Santa Monica under the guidance of Malachi Melville, Birgitte Kristen, Anne Van Valkenburg and Colleen Garrity.

Yogaworks is a school of yoga inspired by the classical Ashtanga, Iyengar and Viniyoga schools, all in the lineage of Krishnamacharya complemented by Alan Finger's deep knowledge of meditation and the subtle body. Paul's teaching style is influenced by the Yogaworks system along with the intuitive teachings of Erich Schiffman and Chad Hamrin and the dynamic movement of Jamie Elmer and Robyn Ann Schumacher.

He has expanded his interests to Thai Yoga Massage (commonly called lazy man's yoga),  introduced to him by Saul David Raye and has continued his studies with Krishnataki. He is a certified Thai Yoga Massage therapist. If you haven't tried this, you're missing out!

His classes tend to be strong and energetic with a Qi Gong influence, and always with a light hearted approach.
