You do not need to be flexible or strong (which will come) to begin this practice, just to accept the new possibilities that you will discover about yourself that have always been there ready to be explored.
Class Descriptions Absolute Beginners Yoga: Designed to build a strong foundation for your yoga practice, this class is for any age, shape or size to experience the many benefits of yoga. Focus is on the correct positioning of basic yoga postures, using props where necessary to increase the freedom and mobility of the body while focusing on the breath to quiet the mind. Hatha 1: This class explores and expands on the poses introduced in the Absolute Beginners Class, continuing the emphasis on fundamentals while beginning to sequence the poses in a more challenging way. Hatha 1/2: A more challenging class, exploring and deepening into a wide range of fundamental poses allowing you to dissolve into a more open, graceful body and steady mind. Hatha 2:This class will explore the beginning stages of advanced poses while keeping a focus on developing stamina and flexibility. An ongoing practice is recommended. Hatha Yoga for the 50+: A class introducing all the elements of a normal hatha yoga class with modifications, particularly for joint care, provided when an individual needs. A strong emphasis on working to your own level and working within your own body's limitations, this class is also suitable for someone recovering from injury or illness.
