Hatha Yoga

'Ha' means sun and 'Tha' means moon, polar opposites.sequencing the poses in a more challenging way, allowing you to dissolve into a more open, graceful body and steady mind. Progresses gradually to the beginning stages of advanced poses.

Absolute Beginners Hatha Yoga: Gradually introduces the breathing practices and basic yoga postures with an emphasis on proper alignment to ensure a safe and enjoyable practice going forward. A series of classes where each week builds off of the previous.

Gentle Yoga:The Gentle Yoga class is suitable for all ages and abilities. The practice cultivates body awareness to enable the student to safely let go of tension and tightness. During the class you will be guided through a series of gentle postures (asanas), breath and energy practices (pranayama) and a guided relaxation (Yoga Nidra).

Yin/Yang Yoga: For a completely integrated practice, this class combines a strong, heating, ‘Yang’ vinyasa flow with the quiet, cooling ‘Yin’ aspects of relaxing restorative poses. Yin postures are held longer to cultivate a meditative mindset and deeper physical opening.

Hatha All Levels: Through the holding of poses, proper alignment and mindful actions of the body can be found. Hatha Yoga brings balance, strength, and a sense of well-being to the practitioner. Open to all.

Dynamic/Vinyasa Flow Yoga:  Emphasizes the vinyasa- sequences of poses with the breath. The flow of the positions builds heat, improves flexibility, strength and postural awareness.  A 'go' attitude.

Kundalini Yoga: Kundalini yoga is the name of a style of Hatha Yoga originated by the Sikh Master Yogi Bhajan. Working on the energy body, its purpose is to awaken the inner power by means of postures, breath control and meditation.

Ashtanga Based Yoga: A dynamic energetic class. Ashtanga yoga is a system of yoga transmitted to the modern world by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois. This method of yoga involves synchronizing the breath (Ujjayi) with a progressive series of postures (vinyasa) - a process producing internal heat and a purifying sweat that detoxifies muscles and organs.

Meditation: "Connecting Within"

'A Chakra Bowl and Chant meditation, using Tibetan singing bowls and toning technique to relax the body, releasing toxins and aligning Body/spirit/mind.
This mediation helps to relax and to find a base for nurturing and grounding in the fast moving times we are living.
The gentle vibration of the bowls enables the mind to go into stillness, allowing the body to repair, and the toning creates a beautiful feeling of happiness in the spirit, which allows us to lose everything that we are carrying unduly, and become light beings, full of joy and harmony'.

Prenatal Yoga

Pregnancy Yoga
Prenatal yoga is a great way to put time aside for yourself and your baby. Practicing Yoga in pregnancy helps to strengthen and stretch muscles, release tension and maintain good posture. Prenatal yoga also teaches you to relax on command and keep a positive outlook while clearing the mind of the stresses associated with pregnancy and motherhood.
In our classes we teach yoga exercises that help prepare you for labour, delivery and motherhood. Regular attendance ensures that you will practice these exercises consistently for greater benefits.

Experienced yoginis or those new to Yoga are all welcome to these classes.
